Pride

When viewed as a virtue, pride in one's appearance and abilities is known as virtuous pride, greatness of soul or magnanimity, but when viewed as a vice it is often termed vanity or vainglory. Pride can also manifest itself as a high opinion of one's nation (national pride) and ethnicity (ethnic pride). It's a fine line that as a race we must be careful to never indulge in excess. To me, pride in this form, is to remember family. It's a something that can't be explained, only felt with an open heart and open mind. It's where you come from. It's to never to forget those who came before you.
